Yesterday, May 10th, Jeptha Creed released their 4-Grain Straight Bourbon weighing in at a respectable 98 proof (49% Alc./Vol.). This unique bourbon is made from Bloody Butcher corn and the mashbill consists of 70% corn, 15% malted rye, 10% malted wheat and 5% malted barley. According to their website, this bourbon has a nose of sweet candies, various fruits and brown sugar. The palate hits you with vanilla, nutmeg and cloves with toasted pecans. The finish is supposed to be a long vanilla mint with a hint of baking spices. I don't know about you but if it lives up to the hype, it sounds amazing!!! If I ever get my hands on a bottle, I'll be sure to post a review. Until next time, cheers!
